KIDZPLAY REFUNDS & MEMBERSHIP POLICY (2025)

1. Overview

This Refunds & Membership Policy explains how Kidzplay Membership works, how cancellations are handled, and when refunds apply.
It is designed to protect both members and the limited-capacity nature of our partner venue, Funopolis.

By purchasing a Kidzplay Membership, you agree to this policy.


2. Membership Access & Capacity

2.1 Limited membership numbers

Kidzplay Membership has a maximum number of active members at any one time.
This ensures:

  • Fair access for all members
  • Safe and enjoyable capacity at Funopolis
  • High-quality booking availability

When we reach capacity, new members join a waitlist.

2.2 Venue access

Your membership currently includes access to:

  • Funopolis (formerly Kidzplay Shipley)

No other venues are included unless explicitly added in the future.


3. Membership Payments

3.1 Monthly subscription

Membership is billed monthly through Stripe, our secure payment provider.
Your subscription renews automatically each month unless cancelled.

3.2 Payment failures

If a payment fails:

  • Stripe will retry the payment
  • Your membership access may be paused until resolved
  • You may need to update your card details in the Stripe customer portal

4. Refund Policy

4.1 No refunds for partial months

As membership grants full-month access, we do not offer refunds for:

  • Partial months
  • Unused time
  • Missed bookings
  • Change of mind once the billing cycle has started

4.2 Refunds in exceptional cases

Refunds may only be considered if:

  • A duplicate payment occurred
  • A billing error was made by us
  • You were charged after correctly cancelling your membership before your renewal date

All refund requests must be submitted via the Contact Us page.

4.3 PartyHero, Birthday Fund & Party Boxes

These are governed by their own refund rules at the point of purchase.
Stripe may hold funds temporarily depending on payment type.


5. Cancelling Your Membership

5.1 How to cancel

You can cancel your membership at any time via:

  • The Stripe customer portal, or
  • The Contact Us page

5.2 When cancellation takes effect

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
You will retain full access until the end of that period.

5.3 No partial refunds

Because you continue to receive full access until your billing cycle ends, no refunds are provided for cancellation mid-cycle.


6. Important: Waitlist Policy When Cancelling

Because Kidzplay Membership is capped, cancellation has consequences for rejoining.

6.1 Losing your place

When you cancel your membership:

  • You lose your current spot
  • You will be placed at the end of the waitlist if you wish to rejoin later

6.2 Why this policy exists

This ensures fairness and protects access for members who maintain active subscriptions.

6.3 Rejoining later

If membership is full when you wish to return:

  • You must rejoin the waitlist
  • You will re-enter only when a space becomes available
  • Your previous member status does not guarantee priority

This policy is clearly communicated at sign-up and upon cancellation.


7. Changing Membership Details

You can update:

  • Email
  • Payment card
  • Personal details

via the Stripe customer portal or by contacting us.


8. Acuity Booking Rules (for Funopolis)

8.1 Booking required

All visits must be booked through Acuity before attending.

8.2 No-shows

Frequent no-shows may result in temporary booking limitations to ensure fairness for other members.

8.3 Cancelling bookings

Please cancel any bookings you cannot attend so another family can take the slot.


9. Old Kidzplay Memberships

If you still hold an old venue-based Kidzplay membership, please contact us with:

  • Name
  • Email used to sign up
  • Any identifying details

We will cancel your old subscription manually.

No refunds apply for periods already billed by the old system.


10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time.
Members will be notified of any material changes.
